The Walk for A Vet Walkathon is March 9, 2024 at the Venice Airport fairgrounds starting at 8:00 am. There will be vendors, food, music and fun. We encourage our sponsors to walk with us that day. We are uniting the greater Sarasota Community in a grassroots endeavor to raise awareness and vital funds to prevent Veteran Suicide. The Long Walk Home, a privately funded nonprofit organization, is on a mission to create hope and save veterans’ lives throughout the community. Every dollar raised through The Long Walk Home's events and fundraisers are strategically invested in life-saving education, training, and support programs, designed to provide hope and assistance to those contemplating suicide.
