Walk With Ron
Walk with Ron, while doing the Bootcamp 10 Challenges to Service, and he will guide you every step along the way.
Walk with Ron Zaleski, our founder, who walked across America barefoot, while carrying a sandwich sign to raise awareness of PTS and suicide among Veterans. No, you do not have to go barefoot or wear a sign! Ron will guide you along the way to complete the series of personal challenges designed to combat negative thinking, build healthier habits, develop goals for the future, and nurture personal relationships. Learn about Ron, himself, and his passion for saving and helping Veterans.
There is a $25.00 registration fee that is refundable after the course is completed. The park fee will be covered by The Long Walk Home along with the 10 challenges package and bottled water.
I am sure you've heard the expression; "Be the Change you want to see," it's easy to say, but hard to do just like another great sound bite, "Thank you for your service."
Today is your chance to take that first step to do just that by taking the Bootcamp 10 Challenges to Service, while walking with the man that walked across America barefoot and continues to walk to make a difference.
Sign up now to walk with Ron, the last Sunday of the month. Remember space is limited, early sign-up is recommended.
Embark on a journey of self-discovery and empowerment.
This is the first step in becoming an official mentor for The Long Walk Home, Inc. After you complete the 10 Challenges to Service, you may choose to join our network of Mentors who help Veterans and military families make their transition to civilian life.
You do not have to be a Veteran. This is for Veterans, their spouse, friend or relative.
Sample Challenge: Expressing Gratitude
*Morning: What are you grateful for when you wake up?
*Night: Before you go to bed write one thing you are grateful for that you accomplished or that happened to you during the day?
*Why? To commence a shift in your perspective, starting the day with a positive thought and ending it on a positive note.
We now have four options to complete the Bootcamp-10 Challenges to Service:
- A self-paced course that is done online with a mentor, one on one
- A Zoom group course that is done in 3 weekly sessions
- An accelerated Zoom group course that is done in one-day
- A walk with Ron
This is limited to 3 people for a more personal experience.
$25.00 deposit required to register; it is refundable after the event. If you cancel, the full $25.00 is forfeited. If you do not finish, the deposit is forfeited. Once you complete the walk with Ron and the 10 Challenges to serve, you will have the opportunity to get the $25.00 refunded or pay it forward, whatever you choose.
All proceeds support the programs at The Long Walk Home.
