ASIST is Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training-2 Day Workshop. September 14 &15; 8:00 am - 4:00 pm each day American Legion Post 221 - Massillon 427 Lincoln Way E, Massillon, OH 44646 Registration required. Deposit will be refunded after attendance. (unless you want to leave it as a donation to help support this program)

The Long Walk Home Organization believes this workshop to be very effective. After the workshops we held, 80% of participants said they would intervene a person at risk of suicide but prior to class only 20% would intervene. Don't wait until it's too late to save someone.

There is no charge to Veterans, their adult family members, & supporters.

The registration deposit of $100 will be refunded after the workshop is attended (unless you prefer to pay-it-forward). If you don't show up or have to cancel, the fee is forfeited as a donation.

Lunch is included both days.

Workshop will begin Wednesday, September 14 at 9:00 am and finish at 4:00 pm, then Thursday, September 15 at 9:00 am-4:00pm. This is a 2 day class. You will go home at night and come back in the morning.

Two knowledgeable, supportive trainers will guide you through the course, ensuring your comfort and safety. One of our trainers on The Long Walk Home staff, Ron Newhouse, is a 22-year veteran whom has led 21 ASIST Workshops.
