One Day-Mentor Zoom Group
Register for this FREE Mentor Zoom GROUP course to become an official Mentor and help save Veterans lives. No need to be a Veteran. We encourage family members, loved ones, and friends to join.
Join us for live Mentor Zoom GROUP course to become an official mentor for The Long Walk Home, Inc.
Accelerated 1 day course on August 13 at 10 am EDT- 2 pm (9 am CST- 1 pm CST)
This course is FREE (we do appreciate donations though!). You do not need to be a Veteran. Family and supporters are welcome!
You will be guided through a set of 10 challenges by our training director, Ron Newhouse and our experienced Mentors. You will receive a workbook of The 10 Challenges to Service prior to the class to complete and discuss during the Zoom class.
Once you complete all "10 Challenges to Service", you will receive a certificate as an official mentor for The Long Walk Home, Inc. The first 9 Challenges will be discussed in a group during the zoom course and the 10th Challenge is a post-survey that will be distributed after the course.
The requirement to become a mentor is to take the 10 Challenges to Service. You do not have to be a Veteran. When you've completed the challenges, you will get a certification to be a mentor with us. If you decide not to do any mentoring after you complete the course, that's fine but please take the post-challenge survey to help us get funding for this program. If you wish to be a mentor, you may be assigned a mentee to guide through the 10 Challenges online. This will take about a half hour to 1 hour per week of your time. There will also be advanced mentor training for those of you who want to teach a zoom group course.
This 1 day course starts promptly at 10:00 AM EDT.
What is the Mentorship Program?
Our mentorship Program provides personalized guidance for Veterans and their families, keeping them engaged and empowered in the transition from Military to Civilian life.
Our mentorship program is the 1st step to making a shift to empowerment by being of service. This is accomplished through challenges and extensive networking to direct people to the proper services. It's not necessary to be a Veteran to help. Family and friends also need empowerment and mentoring.
This program is known to save lives.

This registration is for a one day course to complete all 10 Challenges to Mentorship.
We also have periodic 3-week courses and a self paced one-on-one online course.
